Being a Cadet
Being a Cadet gives you life experiences that colleges, universities and employers all look for. Being part of St John Ambulance shows you have commitment and responsibility to your community. You can also get real first aid experience.
We encourage our Cadets to take part in first aid duties in their area. Throughout the city and surrounding counties these can include football, rugby, GAA matches, trips to the theatre, music events/concerts and many other exciting events! As a Cadet, you can go on to become a Cadet Non-Commissioner Officer, and help train other members in your Division. You can also go on leadership development courses to help assist at your Cadet Division. Each year we appoint a Divisional Cadet of the Year which is something that every Cadets works for. You can take part in camps and adventure activities. We also have Divisional, National and International competitions which every Cadet can take part in should they be interested. Our Division is one of the highest ranking Divisions in the Country; we are both National and International Champions. All our Cadets get the chance to choose what they want to do in St John Ambulance. From first aid to rock climbing, there is something for everyone! |
